Choosing an online coach? (Red flags & Green Ticks)

I’m sure at this point many of you are just so fed up of Zoom classes, free workouts, following other peoples diet plans & hoping for your outcomes to reflect your hard work? I feel you!

But…

Why aren’t you reaching your full potential? What are you lacking that will up your chance of success in hunting down those elusive results in 2021?

Is it accountability? Motivation to push on when the days get tough or just someone to tell you how you can improve your results or give you realistic expectations, goals & realign your lifestyle to suit your goals?

The first thing you need to decide is whether or not you need a coach? There are so many reasons that I could give you to make you realize that having a coach is paramount to further success in whatever aspect of your of your lifestyle you need to work on. In my opinion you should consider working with a coach when:

1. A coach has been a consideration for a while but you’re wondering if you could afford the cost (if this is you, you’ll regret it hugely if you don’t try working with a good coach!)
2. You value your health & want to improve it further with extra drive to reach your potential
3. You’ve been stuck in the same loop over & over & can’t seem to find the way out
4. You’re fed up of following generic information that just leaves you unfulfilled.
5. You need help from a professional in structuring your habits, lifestyle & daily routine to further achieve success.
6. Things just need to change, you’re fed up & you need to do something now!

This list could go on without end realistically but we’re not here for that, If you feel none of those things are needed in your life then there’s no need for you to read any further but thank you for checking in anyway.

Ask what a good coach can do for you, not what you can do with them?
If you’ve been thinking of working with a coach online but you have no idea where to start looking at a potential motivator here’s a few tips to help you get straight to the coach for you:

  • Has the coach worked with people in person long enough to understand what a clients needs are going to be in specific difficult times & can they delve deep into the clients lifestyle to recognize where the client might need some help?

  • Are they coaching for the right reasons, are they helping people reach their potential or are they selling glitzy programs with no substance?

  • Have they got 1st hand knowledge of working with others & helping them achieve their goals in the area you want to achieve?

  • Does the coach actively engage with their current clients & actively try to communicate with them on their lifestyle not only their training?

These are all questions that you should easily be able to find the answer to with a good coach. When you’re looking for that extra accountability, some adjustments or skills to incorporate into your gym or home workouts or that complete transformation that you’re just about ready to commit to! (That last one is a HUGE decision! Trust me I know!) the coach will be able to provide the solutions required.

A good coach will meet you at your pace, then fast track your improvements
You will obviously have some trouble getting to exactly where you want to be (or you wouldn’t be reading this post) & that is where your coach should be able to listen to your concerns, take the reigns & help you to navigate those pain points along your path to achievement & fulfillment of your goals much faster than you could see yourself getting there which will Segway nicely into our next consideration when choosing a coach.

If it sounds like bulls**t it usually is!
Ever have a chat with someone who promised you the world if you work with them but felt very underwhelmed or over promised when all was said & done? this can also happen with coaching, don’t work with someone who can’t walk you through the path to take or promise you diamonds when they can only supply coal. Your coach should promise only realistic results based on the information that you provide them & be able to manage your expectations in a professional manner.

A good coach will be easy to find, reviews, content & information should be readily available, if you’ve came this far maybe it’s time to link my own social media for you to see if you think we would be a good fit:

Good coaches are few & far between & great coaches are worth their weight in gold, i’ve worked with 2 great ones so far & luckily haven’t had any experience with anything less, but i know many who have. That is why considering working with a coach is a massive decision & one great coaches will not take lightly.
